ScamSavvy

Support

Write to maotunko@gmail.com and we will get back to you. Please say which iPhone and iOS version you are on.

Do not send us the suspicious message unless we ask. ScamSavvy is built so that your messages stay on your phone, and we would rather keep it that way. Describing what happened is usually enough.

Common questions

Does my message get uploaded anywhere?

No. The entire check runs on your iPhone. See the privacy policy for exactly what does and does not leave the device.

The app said low risk. Is the message definitely safe?

No — and the app says so on every result. A low-risk result means we did not find the patterns scammers usually use. If something still feels wrong, contact the company through its official channel rather than through the message.

It flagged a message that turned out to be genuine.

That matters to us as much as a missed scam. Tell us roughly what the message said and which company it was from, and we will tune the patterns. You do not need to send the message itself.

How do I set it up for my mother or father?

During setup choose “For my parent”. That turns on larger text, higher contrast and a simpler result screen. You can change it later.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose ScamSavvy. Cancelling is handled by Apple; deleting the app does not cancel it.

I would like a refund.

Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue them ourselves.

Which languages does it support?

English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hindi — both the interface and the scam-pattern catalogue.
