ScamSavvy is built by [LEGAL ENTITY] (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the ScamSavvy iPhone app and this website.

The short version

The messages you check are analysed on your iPhone. They are not uploaded, not stored on any server we control, and not visible to us. There is no account and no sign-up. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What the app does with the message you check

Analysis happens on the device. Text extraction, link analysis, pattern matching, scoring and the written summary all run locally using Apple’s on-device frameworks. No part of your message is transmitted for analysis.
History is stored locally. Past checks are saved in the app’s own storage on your iPhone so you can reopen them. You can delete any entry by swiping it, and deleting the app removes all of it. We have no copy.
Screenshots. If you pick a screenshot, the app reads it only to extract the text and then discards the image. It is not uploaded and not kept.
Clipboard. The app reads your clipboard only when you explicitly ask it to — by tapping the paste button, tapping the widget, or running the “check the copied message” action. iOS asks for your permission the first time.

What we do collect

Anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck — for example, that a check was run or a screen was opened. These signals are not linked to your identity, your device identifier, or the content of any message. They tell us which parts of the app people use, nothing more.
Subscription status through RevenueCat and Apple, so the app knows whether your purchase is active. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple and never reach us.

What we never collect

The content of any message, email, screenshot or link you check
Your contacts, call history, SMS database, photos, or location
Your name, email address or phone number — unless you write to us yourself

Tracking

ScamSavvy does not track you. We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not participate in ad networks, and we do not share data with data brokers. The app does not present Apple’s tracking permission prompt because it has nothing to ask for.

Company names inside the app

The app ships with a list of well-known companies and their official web addresses. It is used only to compare a link in your message against the real address of the company the message claims to be from. No logos or brand images are used, and no company in that list is affiliated with or endorses ScamSavvy.

Children

ScamSavvy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

This website

This site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Cloudflare may process standard request logs as part of serving the site.

Your choices

You can delete individual checks in the app, delete the app to remove all local data, or write to us to ask what we hold — which, for the reasons above, is generally nothing beyond an anonymous usage counter and your subscription status.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date above and note the change in the app’s release notes.
